Planes
TerminologyA plane is the flat surface your prop traces through space. Fundamental to all flow arts.
The three planes
- Wall plane — prop spins in front of you, like painting on a wall. Most beginners start here.
- Wheel plane — prop spins beside you, like a wheel rolling alongside your body.
- Floor/ceiling plane — prop spins horizontally, parallel to the ground.
Every trick exists in a plane. Clean plane control separates beginners from intermediate spinners.
